Commissioner,
Good to see you are enjoying your role in the Knowles Administration. I have been following the rubber gloving issue being pressed by Meera Kohler.
You know she is right, Tom. The facts are clearly on her side. Rubber gloving is a perfectly safe and accepted industry practice. There is no basis, other than greed, to force Alaska's electric power industry to use stone age work practices.
We ask that you reconsider the ill advised proposed prohibition of rubber gloving. Such a backwards move would be bad for the industry and its workers. Allowing this issue to escalate into the courts is not necessary or in anyone's best interests.
Sincerely,
Charlie
