CHUGACH CONSUMERS STRONGLY RECOMMENDS:
DO NOT VOTE FOR SAM CASON!

Sam Cason has a clear and deplorable record in Chugach Electric Association affairs:

Strenuously and tenaciously used all of his attorney skills to OPPOSE the reforms underway by the board and specifically the three common-sense reform bylaws adopted with an 80% YES vote of the Chugach membership in 1996:

*    Increase membership access to costs and finances
*    Full, open and competitive bidding (savings to ratepayers)
*    Avoid conflict of interest on board and committees

[on 2/5/96 Sam Cason voted against all three of these bylaws as a member of the 1996 Bylaws Committee]

Because Sam Cason's brother is a Chugach employee (IBEW Union lineman), under the vast majority of conflict of interest and nepotism bylaws in co-ops across the country he would be banned from being on the board at all.

DO YOU REALLY WANT HIM ON THE BOARD AGAIN WHEN CHUGACH SHOULD BE IN IBEW UNION CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS NEXT YEAR?

DO NOT VOTE FOR SAM CASON!

[NOTE:  This page refers to the 2005 election.  Additional information on Sam Cason follows.]

4/7/05 Mailer      After his defeat for reelection to the Chugach board Sam Cason then became an Assistant Attorney General with the Regulatory Affairs and Public Advocacy section of the AG and is co-counsel in the Chugach Electric rate case as a consumer advocate!
