Logan was appointed October 17 to the seat formerly held by Alan Christopherson who resigned on September 7 for health reasons. Logan is President & CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors Alaska Chapter (ABC-Alaska). ABC is a national association representing 23,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms in 80 chapters across the United States. ABC's mission is "the advancement of the merit shop construction philosophy, which encourages open competition and a free-enterprise approach that awards contracts based solely on merit, regardless of labor affiliation." [from website] Logan brings expertise in construction and maintenance contracting to the board as well as experience with apprentice and vocational training. |
Logan has also been Chairman of the Special Olympics Alaska and Anchorage Historic Properties boards and is on the board of the National Association of Women in Construction and the Anchorage Concert Association. Logan's ter
